MOT Tests

We carry out MOTs on all makes and models of cars and light commercial vehicles, while you wait. The MOT itself takes approximately an hour and you will be presented with a pass/fail sheet. 
 
An MOT is a legal requirement for all cars and whilst it complies to government regulations, it will give you a peace of mind that you car is safe for you the driver and any passengers that you may carry. 
 
As well as receiving you MOT certificate, if Andy or his team spot any other areas of concern that do not fall under the MOT testing they will also mention these to you. 
 
An appointment is not always necessary. 
 
An MOT at Netley Garage is £50.00 and this price is the same for all makes and models. (Vosa Recommended price £54.00) 

What is checked during my MOT test? 

All exterior lights are checked to ensure that they are the correct colour, working correctly and at the correct angle. 
 
Various checks are carried out on all aspects of your car braking system, your front brakes, footbrake and hand brake all part of this test. 
 
Your tyres and wheels are checked to ensuure that tyres are not worn below the legal limit. 
 
Your exhaust emissions are tested for Carbon Monoxide, Hydrocarbon and excessive smoking. 

The MOT process at Netley Garage

Once the test has been completed on your car, we will telephone you to advise if the car car has passed or failed the test. 
 
We will then organise with you to collect the car or for it to be delivered (local area only). We offer the lowest quotation that we can. 
 
From ther if you would like us to carry out the MOT repairs we will endeavour to carry out the work on the same day or make an appointment for an alternative day that is more convenient to you.
